President’s Message
To all the colleagues, SAIEH members and the prospective SAIEH members.
Joining the South African Institute of Environmental at my early age in the profession was meant to contribute to the progress of Environmental Health Profession. Never in my mind had an idea that one day I’ll serve as the President of this giant organisation.
I’m filled with deep gratitude and humility as I take on the responsibilities of this leadership role. It is a great honour to receive the trust you have bestowed upon me, and I look forward to the journey that awaits us.
First and foremost, I wish to convey my heartfelt gratitude to the National Council, along with everyone who has supported and guided me during my professional journey. Your confidence in my skills and potential has brought me to this pivotal moment, for which I am genuinely thankful.

I would be neglectful if I did not recognize the exceptional leadership that has preceded me. The former leaders of this organisation have established lofty standards and accomplished significant milestones. I am dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the legacy they have entrusted to us.
